Manchester City have agreed a £49 million transfer fee with Liverpool for forward Raheem Sterling.
Liverpool have accepted Manchester City’s £49 million offer for Sterling after seeing two bids worth £25 million and £35 million rejected over the past month.
However, after Sterling withdrew from Liverpool’s 30-man list for the tour of Australia, Thailand and Malaysia, the news broke that a £49 million bid had been accepted.
Raheem Sterling, 20, will now begin contract negotiations with Manchester City, before having a medical to finalise the deal.
Sterling will become the most expensive English player, while also over taking Lucas Moura as the most expensive player to be signed under the age of 21.
